Day Dream Suds

When you use my soap, I want it to be more than just something to clean you, I want it to be an experience. My mission is for my product to form an emotional connection to the user. I do this by utilizing scents to replicate settings that may have meaning to people. Whether its a nice day in the park, or a stroll in the middle of the night, I want the user to be there, not just in the shower. My name is Stephen Schulmeister, I'm from Nebraska, and live and make soap in Austin.

Cold Process Method

My soap is made through the cold process method, one of the most common methods for making natural handmade soap. It involves mixing oils and sodium hydroxide (lye) together at room temperature. When mixed together it goes through the saponification process, once the process is complete you are left with soap. In every bar of soap I use an oil mixture of olive, coconut, and palm oil. Olive oil gives the bar moisturizing effect, coconut oil helps harden the bar and produce bubbles, and palm oil creates more lather.
